1. I forgot my password! Please use the 'Forgot Password?' feature available on the site. 2. How long do books remain on the site? The books will remain on the site until they are sold, or the user removes them. 3. How does the site work? First, users must sign up to a free membership before being able to sell their books. Once they are registered, they can post their books. Potential buyers can search by title, author, ISBN or school. Before being able to contact the seller and make a purchase, the user must become a member. Both members (buyer and seller) must come to an agreement, and arrange a place to meet up and make the exchange. Members may also choose to ship books and money. Please read our question '7. What about shipping? How is that handled? '. 4. How does the message system work?Any message will be sent into the inbox of your StudentBooks.ca account. The message will also be sent to the email you used to register your StudentBooks.ca account. 5. How do I sell my textbooks?In order to sell your used textbooks, you must first register for a free account. Once you are registered and logged in,you will have a "What would you like to do today" menu. In that menu, choose "Add a textbook". You must then choose the category and the sub-category your book belongs to. Then you will fill out all information about your book and select "add book" when your done. Interested users will contact you through the website. Any messages you receive will be sent directly to the email that you used to register to the website. It is your responsibility to meet up with interested user to complete the sale. 6. How can I modify a book listing? Once logged in, choose 'My Books' in the left side menu. Click 'modify' on the book you would like to modify. 7. How can I delete a book listing? Once logged in, choose 'My Books' in the left side menu. Click 'Delete' on the book you would like to delete. 8. What about shipping? How is that handled? StudentBooks.ca is only responsible for posting your book on the Web site. Other details, such as shipping, are up to the buyer and seller to arrange between themselves. We are not responsible for a book or money that was not received! 9. What if I get a book that is damaged or not what I was told/thought I was buying? StudentBooks.ca is only responsible for posting your book on the Web site. If you feel that you have purchased books that are not worth their asking price, then you must contact the seller of the book to resolve the matter. 10. I am a book buyer and I don't think I got a fair deal from the bookseller. They will not negotiate with me or satisfy my complaints. Can you help me? Since we do not ask for much personal information when signing up, it is very difficult for us to track down a user. We will try to contact the user through email on your behalf to voice your complaints, but we cannot force the resolution of a conflict between a bookseller and a book buyer. If we receive enough complaints about any user, it will result in the banning of the user in question. |
